We’re now using Original Sunshine for our Gluten-Free Bagels
Original Sunshine Bagels use non-GMO unbleached wheat starch that goes through a natural rinsing process to remove the gluten. Under the FDA’s gluten-free labeling rule, wheat starch is allowed in gluten-free foods as the final product contains less than 20ppm of gluten, which is the case with Original Sunshine. Wheat starch is not a wheat grain and is not a wheat protein. If ordering an Original Sunshine Gluten-Free bagel for a bagel sandwich or with a spread, we will be preparing it in the same space as our traditional bagels; cross contamination may occur.
